Downhill Biking in Verbier

Biking in Verbier

Downhill biking has come on leaps and bounds over the last few years in Verbier.

It is now one of the biggest Mountain Bike destinations in Europe, with 7 downhill tracks from the easy, fun and flowing blue, to the race track, you will enjoy trails as varied as the environments they are found in.

With the opening of the two new red tracks last summer, the BikePark now has a total vertical drop of nearly 900m. One of these tracks at 2.1km long and dropping 307m in vertical, the new Rôdze trail looks and feels like a real downhill BMX track. It’s already famous thanks to its 65 jumps and its amazing view on the Combins and the Dents-du-Midi.

The other new red trail, the “Bortabitche”,that was built for the 2014 season is a typical “Freeride” trail, with the emphasis on ‘flow’. 1.3km long and dropping 227m in vertical all right below the chairlift, the trail has 200m of northshore through a giant stone garden.

The enduro is a discipline that has been growing in popularity. You pedal up and carry their bikes in order to ride down long and nice tracks. You will be able to organize one-day and multi-days adventures in order to discover different valleys, villages, hidden gems and bars/restaurants.
